New Sass & Belle Blog Props

             

A new season means new colourways, new blog props and new ways of presenting blog and Instagram photos. As I use this's blog primarily as an outlet to relive my boredom and only upload when I feel well enough to do so I restricted myself to purchasing only 2 new items to use in my Spring/Summer photos and they are both from Sass & Belle.

The cat's whiskers trinket dish is £6 and measures 9.8x10cm.  It features a little sleepy cat's face which looks adorable but not overpowering and doesn't dominate any blog photos, instead it adds cuteness to the overall photo. I use the trinket dish to display jewellery, prop up makeup and use it as part of my back drop clutter in flat lays.

The artificial succulent plant in a glass planter is £7 and measures 7.5x7cm.  The contrast of the different colours (green and different shades of brown stones) and textures (stones, plant and glass) means that it is great for using as both a flat lay prop draping jewellery artfully across it and as part of a backdrop.

Sticks & Stones: Parrots, Rain forests & More!

The Tropicana Parrot Derby Fashion Cane is a bright, fun walking stick, combining a brightly coloured jungle with parrots peeking out! The stick is adjustable from 77cm - 100 cm and as it is not a foldable stick it would be easier to shorten it further. 

I already showcased the Oasis/ ZSL in a previous post - the parrot stick would look great combined with these items or with a foliage/ jungle print dress/ trousers etc for a fierce fun look. The accessories I have included further down would add a further animal/ jungle dimension to the overall look.

If you wanted a more muted take which would allow the stick to be the focal point, matte forest green or other dark hues such a burgundy (which is a key winter colour) would look great together.  This combination would combine the bright flamboyance of the stick with a more understated background.

Sass&Belle DIY Pendants from Mini Hanging Photo Frames

 

Sass & Belle make some gorgeous mini hanging photo frames which range from £2-2.50 not including p&p.   I think they also make great statement/ gothic pendants and the pictures can be changed around as you wish. I used the brass mini hanging frame as an example. Pressed some flowers, undid the frame, put them in and I had a pendant to match my shirt. The brass frame measures 4.7x 5.2 x1cm and is quite light. The pastel and gold frames are slightly bigger and are quite a lot heavier when around the neck. They open from the back rather than the side but you can redesign you photos/flowers etc just as easily. I just hung a chain through the loop at the back of the frame but you could always use a double loop jump ring if you want it took look my professional. I think these make great frames and pendants and you can swap the pictures around to match you outfit.
