Review: Paul & Joe’s Accessories Face Mask

I love the graphics and artistry which provide the basis for the success and cohesion of the brand. All the different strands of her brand are linked by use of the same seasonal colour ways, pictures etc. I wore a P&J cat shirt for my PhD graduation on 2002  and have admired and purchased the more financially accessible (cheaper) items every since then! I purchased the P&J face mask from Amazon Japan.  In sterling it cost £7.43 plus shipping which was £7.86 but I purchased some other items as well which brought the price of shipping down per item

The face mask is a light pink and has Sophie Mechaly’s beloved cat Nounette embroidered on the side. The face mask looks very nappy like and bulky but it isn’t in real life. It is very light weight and comfortable to wear.  It measures 10x20cm and is one size fits all. The material is a very soft terry cloth which is has a mesh interior so a disposable mask or tissue can be slipped in place. The ear bands are comfortable and don’t rub my ears or get tangled up with my glasses or hearing aid.

I like it and will continue to wear it despite the fact masks are no longer compulsory in the U.K. I would also recommend Amazon Japan. I had my items within a few days via DHL and the service was excellent.

Review: Disney Cat Inspired Face Mask

I saw this Disney Cat Inspired Face Mask  when I was browsing Etsy UK. I wanted some more masks/ face coverings with adjustable earloops and this one does and has the bonus of being a Disney cat print. It is £5.50 plus £1.80 postage. I have dexterity problems and have found the toggle on this mask to be the easiest to grip and adjust. The seller is CooksCraftyCorners.

Review: Eco Chic Reusable Face Coverings

I saw these reusable face coverings (£4.99 each) when buying my bird food from the RSPB online shop. I was intrigued as the coverings have little plastic bobbles/sliders/ on the elastic which makes it easier to tighten/ adjust. I chose the smaller sizes bees, wild birds and British wildlife. There are also pockets in the face coverings where you can pop in optional replaceable filters.

The patterns are really fun. I love that the wildlife version has hedgehogs featured on it and it he bird covering has all the most well known birds printed across it. The coverings are washable and I shall keep mine in the resealable bags which they came in. The elastic is soft around the ears - especially important as a glasses wearer - and I love the adjustable ear loops.

Review: Disney Cats Washable Face Covering

I purchased a Disney Cats Washable Face Covering (£4.75) from  BitsandbatsShop. Just like the Miffy face covering on the previous review this item is well made, cute and makes me smile when I put it on! The covering is reversible and when it came out perfectly after being washed.

I enjoy buying from Etsy because I feel as though I am helping a small business. The customer service in this case was great. I received my items within a few days and I would recommend this seller for both quality of her product and price.

Review: Holiday Miffy Double Face Covering

This is the first of two reviews of face coverings I purchased from the Etsy seller Bitsandbatsshop. The Holiday Miffy Double layered washable face covering is so cute! This is an adult sized face covering so I need to tighten the elastic quite a bit! I love the pattern, it is so colourful and such a fun print. The pattern is the same on both sides.  It cost £4.75 including postage, so very reasonably priced. There are lots of different face coverings available. She also sells Lego key rings and kitsch but cute key chains.

Review: Disney Cat Inspired Washable Face Mask

As I am only small I am having great difficulty finding masks that fit comfortably and look cute. I found the Disney Cat inspired Washable Face Mask (£9.99) on Etsy. Made by PrincessandPetticoat it is available in four sizes - adult male and female and child 2-4yrs and 5+. The print includes all the famous Disney cats and it is reversible - the other side has a car print pattern. I find the mask comfortable to wear but would prefer the elastic to be slightly thinner. She isn’t taking orders at the moment but when she does reopen I will be checking out her other items as she makes lots of Disney inspired pieces!

Essence Cosmetics: Wood You Love Me?

Essence Cosmetics create cruelty free, great quality, purse friendly, innovative cosmetics and they do not t st on animals.  They release Trend Editions, collections which are limited edition and seasonally appropriate, several times a year.  Their valentines edition is based around the theme "wood you love me?" featuring lots of adorable in love woodland creatures with a backdrop of romantic woodland.  The Trend Editions are not available in the UK but Kosmetik4less ship here and the prices for the items themselves and the P&P are reasonable. Postage for my wood you love me order was €8.80 and I had it within a week  (Kosmetik4less also stock lots of cosmetic brands which are difficult to get in the UK).

The focal point of the collection, for me anyway, is the eyeshadow and highlighting palette.   The lid of the palette features two bunnies hugging each other in romantic woodland. The palette is called "from the forest with love" and has a flip image of the rabbits - they move when wiggled.  I love the aesthetics of the palette but some of the lighter shades within the palette where slightly disappointing.   The green and white (highlighter shades) seemed very powderery and lacked both staying power and pigmentation in comparison to the browns and darker colours which last and provide a good colour.  The palette costs €3.45.

The lip palette called "you are my absolute favourite" also costs €3.45 and contains 5 lip shades.  They are all in the pink-fushia-red colour scheme, are high coverage and have a metallic, shimmering or matte finish. I love this palette. I can use these colours as they are or mix my own custom colour.  They smell fruity and are well worth the price.

There are three nail polishes  in the collection and they cost €1.95 each. Crazy in love is a metallic rose gold, soulmate is a lime green and sweet kisses is a light pink.  I have crazy in love and sweet kisses and I enjoy wearing them both.  I always use the same base coat - nail hq all in one- and I found that these are one of the few brands that don't peel off my nails within hours of applying (I have very greasy nails due to long term medication). I found one coat gave opaque coverage and they dried within 15 minutes. They are quite a runny consistency so it is better to apply to little and have to back than put to much on and end up with a runny mess.

The smokey eyes "love at first sight" brush is €2.25 and is a double ended synthetic bristle brush.  One side has a round soft brush which is perfect for buffing whilst the other is square so that you can stamp the perfect base for a smokey eye in the outer corner of your eye. I have to get someone to do my eye make up for me as I cannot reach my eyes but my mum did say it was quite easy to use on me.

The nail file set,  love me twice, hydrating sheet mask, be happy, be a bunny, Energising eye sheet mask, foxever in love and make up sponges, Mr and Mrs Cute all cost €1.95 each and are pocket money friendly, well thought out and adorable.  The sponges are washable, the nail files feel really great quality and the sheet masks are single use.

The items I didn't get are the duo eye pencilsfalse lashes and highlighter and blush palette (sadly out of stock)

I purchased these items myself.
