 As my last blog post showcased Rachael Stewart, this linked post will contain the promised competition prize - the Beauty and the Beast, A Tale as Old as Time, Sterling Silver Pendant. Rachael Stewart is donating an ebook of her True Love romantic novel Beauty And The Reclusive Millionaire as it was inspired by this timeless classic. 

Chamilia’s Beauty and the Beast collection launched in 2017. The Disney x Chamilia collaboration included bracelet charms, rings, earrings and pendants. Belle’s rose was the main feature but characters such as Cogsworth, Lumiere, Chip and Mrs Potts also made an appearance. 

This sterling silver pendant is shaped like a book - Belle loved reading.  It has Belle’s rose on one side and “A Tale as Old as Time” inscribed on  the other. The bale has Disney Chamilia stamped on it. The necklace is sterling silver and has a tiny Chamilia tag attached to the fastener. It is packaged in a Chamilia drawer style gift box. 

Beauty And The Reclusive Billionaire (True Love Mills & Boon) is inspired by the timeless classic, Beauty and the Beast.  Catherine and Alaric were childhood friends who drifted apart and haven’t seen each other in 10 years. Catherine now goes by Kitty and is a famous LA actress. Alaric, however, has had a terrible accident and has hidden himself away on a private Greek island. Kitty is going through some emotional and physical trauma and Alaric’s sister suggests she goes to the island to recover.  The chemistry between them is still there and whilst Alaric acts like the angst ridden hero and Kitty is still struggling with the aftermath of her recent ordeals they start to heal together. This is very much a modern day Beauty and the Beast romance set in a beautiful island and of course there is a library!

#win Chamilia Sterling Silver Bowtique Minnie Mouse Necklace & Earrings

 

Anyone remember Chamilia which was a Swarovski owned company? They closed in 2020. They did several collaborations with Disney and Harry Potter. They weren’t cheap but were well made and aimed more for the adult market than children. The pieces weren’t screaming Disney but if you were a fan you knew. 

I purchased a few pieces when stores were selling the jewellery items off, put them in a box in my prize cupboard and forgot about them. I found it when I was emptying out the cupboard of doom last week, so for the next few months I will be giving items away. 

The first prize I shall be giving away is the Minnie Mouse Bowtique Sterling Silver necklace and studs (for pierced ears). I have 2 sets so shall give away one here and one on Instagram- you can enter both. The Bowtique set is very understated- the earrings are tiny sterling silver Minnie bows set with sparkling crystals. The sterling silver necklace has a small built in extender and a larger bow which matches the studs.

Review & Competition: Chamilia Disney Dumbo Follow Your Dreams Bolo Bracelet

This month’s competition prize is a Chamilia Disney Dumbo Follow Your Dreams Bolo Bracelet (£65) I purchased one from my mum as her Mothers Day present as she is very ill,  needed cheering up and loved everything Disney. The Dumbo bracelet comes packaged in a cute Chamilia embossed drawer style gift box and a matching pouch. The bracelet itself is made from sterling silver with a little silver cloud embossed in black enamel  with “follow your dreams”. There are also some tiny Swarovski crystals embedded in the cloud.
 A tiny Dumbo hangs from the cloud. He has sparkly blue Swarovski eyes, pink enamel ears and wears a gold electroplated hat. The bolo closure is embossed with Disney on one side and the Chamilia logo on the other. My mother has just had a stroke and has little use of her hands but she can still adjust the clasp herself by sliding it up and down.  The bracelet is adjustable and is around 9.4” in length.

Chamilia have a new Mickey and Minnie Disney collection out now.   The black and red accent enamel  beads are £55, the little figures are sterling silver with enamel detailing are £45 and the sparkly Swarovski crystal Mickey charm is £45.

Chamilia Halloween Charms - spookily cute!!

As it is October and the shops are full of Halloween merchandise, I thought I would have a look for some wearable, spooky but not frightening jewellery!  Chamilia have brought out some Halloween charms.  They are spookily cute but not full on frightening and definitely wearable all the year round, not just on Halloween.  Made from sterling silver, there are, for example,  moss green Swaovski crystal embellishment for eyes, orange enamel for the pumpkin charm and the cat's hat.

Prices range from £25-70 per charm.  The 3 charm gift set in the witch hat box is £79 which is great value and would make a great gift (for me!).

Chamilia: Disney Winnie the Pooh Charms

Last week Chamilia  launched their Disney Winnie the Pooh Charm range.  The star of the show, is, of course Winnie the Pooh,  His charm is £55 and is made from sterling silver, electroplated 14k gold for his honey pot and enamel detailing.  Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet are £50 each. Tigger is sterling silver with black enamel detailing.  Eeyore is made from sterling silver and has a pink enamel bow on his pony tail mane.  Piglet is made from sterling silver and is wearing  a pink and red enamel sweater. The Disney Friends Forever Heart Charm, featuring Winnie and Piglet is £45 and is made from sterling silver, Swarovski Crystal stones and enamel.  They fit any of the Disney Chamilia or ordinanry Chamilia bracelets.

Beauty and the Beast Chamilia Bracelet

Disney are re-releasing the animated classic Beauty and the Beast on the 17 March 2017 as a live action retelling of the cartoon classic. Starring Emma Watson (Belle) Dan Stevens (Beast) and Luke Evans (Gaston) the film will update the older version with new songs and a new more feminist slant.
Chamilia have brought out several charms in conjunction with Disney to celebrate this remake. Mrs Potts, Chip, Lumiere and the rose are all there.

The price ranges from £35 for Chip to £45 for Mrs Potts. They are all made out of sterling silver with enamel and Swarovski accents. They are currently on sale at H Samuels, so grab a bargain - I love Mrs Potts and her lavender hat!
