#Win Chamilia Beauty and The Beast Sterling Silver Pendant & an E-book Beauty and the Reclusive Millionaire by Rachael Stewart

As my last blog post showcased Rachael Stewart, this linked post will contain the promised competition prize - the Beauty and the Beast, A Tale as Old as Time, Sterling Silver Pendant. Rachael Stewart is donating an ebook of her True Love romantic novel Beauty And The Reclusive Millionaire as it was inspired by this timeless classic.

Chamilia’s Beauty and the Beast collection launched in 2017. The Disney x Chamilia collaboration included bracelet charms, rings, earrings and pendants. Belle’s rose was the main feature but characters such as Cogsworth, Lumiere, Chip and Mrs Potts also made an appearance.

This sterling silver pendant is shaped like a book - Belle loved reading.  It has Belle’s rose on one side and “A Tale as Old as Time” inscribed on  the other. The bale has Disney Chamilia stamped on it. The necklace is sterling silver and has a tiny Chamilia tag attached to the fastener. It is packaged in a Chamilia drawer style gift box.

Beauty And The Reclusive Billionaire (True Love Mills & Boon) is inspired by the timeless classic, Beauty and the Beast.  Catherine and Alaric were childhood friends who drifted apart and haven’t seen each other in 10 years. Catherine now goes by Kitty and is a famous LA actress. Alaric, however, has had a terrible accident and has hidden himself away on a private Greek island. Kitty is going through some emotional and physical trauma and Alaric’s sister suggests she goes to the island to recover.  The chemistry between them is still there and whilst Alaric acts like the angst ridden hero and Kitty is still struggling with the aftermath of her recent ordeals they start to heal together. This is very much a modern day Beauty and the Beast romance set in a beautiful island and of course there is a library!

Book Review: Rachael Stewart What Happens At The Beach… (Mills & Boon True Love)

After losing her home and career as a bar worker, Fae Thompson is housing/ dog sitting for 6 weeks. She is minding Precious the poodle for her rich step sister Sasha in Sydney’s very expensive Bondi Beach area whilst she is on her honeymoon with her wife Gigi.  Sasha left Fae a long email of dos and don'ts but most importantly of all Precious wasn’t to come into contact with the neighbour Lord Cedric Alexander Pennington, otherwise known as Rick, as his dog, a Great Dane called Ralph, according to Sasha had gone for her baby like a piece of meat.

Fae meets Rick for the first time when they are walking the dogs and rather like 101 Dalmatians they end up entwined in the dog leads. Both romances progress, culminating in a disastrous gala for the humans, will they get their HEA?  Precious is unwell after the gala turns out she is pregnant and puppies are born just as her human mama gets back from her honeymoon so everyone gets their HEA!!

I enjoyed this book and read it in one sitting The dogs added a touch humour and could have had their own mini romance told from their perspective as they were definitely part of the main storyline not just there to bulk out the word count. There was a sense of sadness and loss for Fae, she is the step sister who doesn’t fit in and has lost the places that she felt safe and wanted. She has an inferiority complex as her father abandoned her and her mother and created the perfect family with someone else   This has shaped her life and could ruin her future if she doesn’t change. Rick hadn’t smiled in years before coming to Australia as he fought to save the family home and business after being let down by his dad. The characters work well together, are realistic enough to both appeal to and be relatable to the reader.  The storyline is well paced, doesn’t drag has interesting and complex characters both human and canine.

Book Review: Fake Fling with the Billionaire by Rachael Stewart

Fake Fling with the Billionaire is written by Rachael Stewart and is part of the Mills & Boon True Love collection.

Cassie is currently holed up in a Paris hotel, trying to recover emotionally and financially after divorcing Prince Serignone. The Duponts, the royal family seem determined to paint her as the one who caused her marriage to fail when in reality it was her husband’s fault. She first meets Hugo Chevalier, a billionaire teddy bear made of steel,  in rather compromising circumstances when he is locked out of his apartment after sleepwalking naked. They soon become firm friends and he escorts her around Paris so that she can see the sights, they enter into a fake fling so she can do this and slowly their friendship becomes more. Both of them have baggage from the past that could hinder their future together, will they overcome the barriers and have their HEA.

Despite coming from a rich background and being an ex-princess, Cassie is an intriguing character. She seems to be a determined character who does not let the press intrusion phase her. She seems sad but philosophical about the (lack of a) relationship with her parents and is determined to rebuild her life. Hugo also has problems with his parents, not that they are disinterested but that they are overbearing, especially as they interfere with his love life due to his youthful mistake that nearly destroyed the family business. He comes across as a lovely down to earth character despite being a billionaire as he helps Cassie put her life back together.

I enjoyed this novel, the storyline was interesting and I love reading any novel set in Paris! I would recommend this book.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Rachael Stewart and Book Funnel but this did not affect my review.

Book Review: Reluctant Bride's Baby Bombshell by Rachael Stewart

Reluctant Bride's Baby Bombshell by Rachael Stewart is part of the four part one year to wed series published by the True Love series for Mills & Boon.

Eve fled the Australian outback and her home town of Marni after discovering her parents had lied to both her and to her sisters. She has built a life in London and a loving relationship with her maternal grandparents whilst remaining estranged from her parents and sisters. She returns home after her father dies to discover that to inherit the cattle station, Garrison Downs,  the sisters must all marry within a year. Nate Harrington is the son of George who was Eve’s father’s lawyer. As he is ill Nate has move home and taken over his practice. Nate resents his father but slowly discovers her was absent for most of his childhood as he was busy helping others. Nate and Eve meet and have a one night stand the night she returns to Marni. She finds out she is pregnant and the storyline goes from there.

The storyline is very formulaic and there is nothing fun or memorable about it. The characters don’t seem to gell or work very well together. I also thought that they didn’t really catch the reader’s attention.  I enjoyed that that both characters worked through their childhood and parental issues. I wouldn’t reread this novel and normally I enjoy Rachael Stewart’s books.

#AD Book Review: Mr One-Night Stand by Rachael Stewart (M&B Dare).

Mr One-Night Stand is Rachael Stewart’s debut novel and is published by the Dare imprint from Mills and Boon. The instant Jennifer Hayes claps eyes upon Marcus Wright she knows she wants to have a night of no name hot sex. Unfortunately for her after this hot night of unbarred sex she discovers he is her new business partner. The desire continues but will Marcus be her mr right now, mr wrong or mr happily ever after?

A combination of hot sex, two flawed individuals and a new business venture, this novel, like all Dare novels is somewhere between the Modern imprint and the Black Lace series. Enjoyable but I wouldn’t rush to read it again.

I received this novel from Mills & Boon via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.  #MrOneNightstand #Mills&Boon #NetGalleyUK #Dare
